This romantic getaway setting is a 4-Season fully furnished 3 bedroom log cabin, originally constructed in 1948, is located literally on the banks of the world renowned Au Sable River known for its blue ribbon trout fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and overall beauty as one of America's famed National Scenic Rivers. Fly fishing enthusiasts have long considered the Au Sable as a must visit destination - not simply to experience the rare beauty of this national treasure but to seek after the trophy wild brown trout that call these waters home. To wade, float the Au Sable by canoe or kayak, or float the river in a vintage cedar Au Sable River Boat is truly a memory of a lifetime. In the winter months experience snowmobiling, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, and downhill skiing in the area. No matter the season, the atmosphere of Copper Fox is ideal for romantic, anniversary, and honeymoon getaways.
Relax in classic comfort in this 3 bedroom, 1 bath lodge that offers all the comforts of home while providing a rare north woods experience. Enjoy the cozy great room layout with its moose rack adorned stone fireplace and trademark copper fox looking on. View the scenic river from the wrap around windows while enjoying your morning coffee.
As chronicled in "Fifty Places to Fly Fish Before You Die" you'll quickly appreciate the romance of the Au Sable. Experience the Holy Waters, Masons Tract of the South Branch, Mio Trophy Water, and famous Hex Hatch. In fact, it was the beauty of this region and quality of trout fishing that lead to the formation of the very first Trout Unlimited chapter - formed in 1959 by Au Sable river anglers.
