Heaven is Real - From the moment we drive in we were captivated. Copper Fox Lodge is truly a magical setting. The AuSable River is gorgeous and flows right below the cabin. Our cares simply washed away as we sat and watched the river and nature float by. It gets even better when you walk inside. The cabin is a dream. We’ve never seen furnishings this fine in any cabin rental – EVER. These owners have set the bar high in every respect. Comfort, comfort, comfort. We just couldn’t get over every detail that the owners addressed – they truly wanted to make our experience special – and it was. The river view from the cabin is to die for. We never wanted to leave. Private, serene, and romantic are perfect words. Pictures can not do justice to this place. Simply OUTSTANDING! (Meredith C.)

Peaceful – Magical – Perfection - This cabin is a true gem, the most welcoming place I've ever stayed in when heading north. I knew it was going to be a great place, and it still exceeded my expectations from the moment I entered! The lights were on, music playing, fireplace going, and a bottle of wine along with fresh-baked banana bread and welcome note awaited me. The cabin is decorated to perfection and by far the cleanest I have ever seen, and the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept on. I went thru ten pounds of black sunflower seeds and peanuts, plus a woodpecker suet, all bought in town, and delighted in all of the bird species, Keeping track of what I saw, not to mention all of the different types of squirrels! I saw my first eagles, which was thrilling, along with great white egrets, flying by daily!  I will definitely be back to stay at this little piece of heaven again, with my young-adult kids, hopefully late summer when we can try our hand at fishing! Beautiful Private Cabin Right on the River - The cabin was absolutely perfect with all kinds of special touches, they did not miss a thing! The outside property was just as nice from the nice wood furniture around the fire pit, very well stocked firewood, very nice wood furniture by the water and at the top of the small hill overlooking the river, the gazebo, and my wife loved taking pictures of all the blue jays, chipmunks, red squirrels etc. that were around the feeder and the yard every day. I looked up the little hill to where my wife was reading a book while I was trout fishing and I said to her this must be what heaven is like!  (Greg C.)

Like Living in a Fairy Tale Log Cabin Painting - From the moment of pulling in we were in awe. I immediately said to my family, this looks better than the pictures. Everything from the landscaping to the color and tones of Copper Fox Lodge just melded and exceeded anything I could have even imagined what it was going to be. I already knew this was not going to just be a place sitting on the amazing AuSable River. This was going to be an experience to never be forgotten. And we had not even gotten to the door to step inside! Instantly upon opening the door the combination of wonderfully pleasant scents, light music, refreshing air, and turning to the rear of the cabin, the view of the AuSable River, put us into a euphoric state with huge smiles. Words could not be thought of at the moment. Upon further examination, Copper Fox Lodge is kept immaculately clean. The attention to detail cannot be rivaled. Everything we thought we needed was there. I want to thank Jeff and Beth for accommodating us and working with me to deliver the perfect setting for an unforgettable experience that will not be my last at Copper Fox Lodge. I also want to thank Laurie and Rob for all of the hard work they put in on this property. It absolutely shows from the moment you get out of your vehicle, walk inside, and even once back home when we start asking each other if we noticed the different aspects we found absolutely amazing. Oh and by the way, I forgot to mention, the view and surrounding wilderness of the AuSable River at Copper Fox Lodge are second to none. It was my 1st trip to the AuSable River, and parts of the family I was able to experience this with have been coming up here since 1980, and they were blown away with the scenic beauty of Copper Fox. The pictures that are posted honestly don't do it justice. From ownership to housekeeping, this is a group of people that you can tell truly care about the quality of your AuSable River experience, take pride in the property they own/take care of, and are just amazing people to interact with.
